NEW FOUNDATION/CHIKKA HESARURU

Regular and sustained involvement in a range of activities at various villages has made significant impact and contribution to rural development. Responding to the invitation from the Bishop of Bellary, the SW Province was able to open a new foundation at Chikkahesaruruu to cater to the pastoral and educational needs of the people in the village.

The blessing of the new foundation at Chikkahesaruru took place on 10.7.2021. The Eucharistic Celebration by Dr. Henry D’Souza, Bishop of Bellary was followed by an elaborate welcome program for the Sisters, by the prisoners. It was indeed a historical moment for the people of Chikkahesaruru as well as Sisters of the South West India Province. Presently, Sr. Annie and St. Josephine have started home visits, tuition classes and getting more students to the School.
