The Revised Constitution is approved, with revised terminology, e.g., 'Superior General' to 'Congregational Leader,'
"Leaders" replaced "Superiors" at all levels, and the General Chapter is termed the Congregational Chapter.

On October 26th, the Generalate (established in 1835) moved to 'Brevatta' in Rome, Italy.
The 'Brevatta' proved too large, and in 1969, the Generalate moved to 'Via Aurelia.

December 8th, the Vatican Council II closed.
On May 11th, the GSC Chembur in Bombay (now Mumbai) was established, school was handed over to the Loreto sisters in April 1968,
and the community shifted to Varsova.
On October 18th, the Coorg GSC Community was established (1965-1990).

The name "Sisters of St. Magdalen" was changed
to either "Sisters of the Cross" or "Contemplatives of the Cross."

On October 11th, Pope John XXIII opened the Second Vatican Council, with the purpose of Renewal,
Adaptation, Christian Unity, preserving heritage, and presenting it today.
1950
The Sisters of St. Magdalen became members of the Congregation of Our Lady of Charity and started taking the fourth vow of Zeal.
1940
Blessed Mother Mary Euphrasia Pelletier was canonized on May 2nd by Pope Pius XII,
with Mother Mary of St. John of the Cross serving as the Superior General.

On November 30th, the GSC Madras (Chennai) was established in the Province of India.

The Novitiate of the Bangalore Foundation ( Province of India) was established at Museum Road.

The Congregation of the Bishops in Rome agreed to have provinces and named Msgr. Angebault as the Visitor.
The Foundation of Bangalore was established, and the GSC (Good Shepherd Convent) Museum Road in Bangalore was opened.

Count De Neuville wrote to St. Mary Euphrasia that Provinces were needed,
leading to the foundations in Egypt, Libya, Algeria, India, and England
shortly thereafter, further justifying the need.

The First General Chapter took place, Sisters of St. Magdalen were present.

The first Constitutions were approved by the Vatican on November 1st.

At the request of St. Mary Euphrasia, Pope Gregory XVI established the Generalate, and the congregation became the
CONGREGATION OF OUR LADY OF CHARITY OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD OF ANGERS.

The Foundation of Sisters of St. Magdalen took place in Angers, with the active support of Mission partners, Countess Genevieve D'Andigne and Count Augustin de Neuville, in the establishment and expansion of the mission.

The House of the Good Shepherd was founded in Angers, France, by Sr. Mary Euphrasia Pelletier, Mother Superior of Our Lady of Charity

St. Mary Euphrasia founded the Sisters of St. Magdalen at Tours, with a Sister of the Order of Our Lady of Charity
remaining as local superior of the community.

On October 20th, Rose Virginie Pelletier entered the Our Lady of Charity convent at Tours.
1806
The Congregation of Our Lady of Charity was restored in Tours after disbanding for 15 years.

On July 31st, Rose Virginie was born to Dr. Julian & Anne Pelletier in Noirmoutier, France.
