Religious life is a call to follow Christ more closely in His poverty, in His obedience, in His self giving. It is a call to holiness.
Sunday 31st July 2022 was a very especial day for us, Good Shepherd sisters of SWI, because it was the birthday of our foundress St. Mary Euphrasia Pelletier and on this special day one of our novice Divya Dandavathi made her temporary profession, at Jeevan Jyothi formation house Bangalore-25 in the hands of Sr. Lissy Chacko Province Leader and in the presence of the community sisters. Rev. Fr. Arul Jesu Robin CMF was the celebrant presided over the ceremony and Frs. Leo D’souza and Jeevan Prasad con celebrated with the theme: “Call to Love in Action”.
It was a great day to rejoice and thank God for His blessings to us in the person of Divya Dandavathi. We thanked God for her vocation, her call and above all we thanked God for His unconditional love to her. We celebrated His faithfulness, His mercy which has been the anchor of her religious life.
Having made this gift of life to serve God and His people through our Congregation, the Province Leader on behalf of the sisters of the Good Shepherd of the Province of South West India, welcomed the newly professed sister. And the community of professed Sisters welcomed and prayed for the newly professed sister.
May Jesus the Good Shepherd , our founders St. John Eudes and St. Mary Euphrasia Pelletier bless Sr. Divya Dandavathi as she continue to walk in their footsteps.
We thank God for the gift of the newly professed sister and all those who helped them and accompanied them specially The province Leader and her team, the formators and many other people who journeyed in her life. We congratulate and wish her enriching experience. May Jesus the Good Shepherd continue to walk with them.
