International Women’s day celebrated at Good Shepherd Convent Sadanapalaya

Good Shepherd Rural development & Sustainability, Sandanapalaya together, with staff and the women from different villages celebrated the International women’s day at Good Shepherd Convent Sadanapalaya premises on 12the March 2022. The day’s celebration began at 12pm with special prayer by Sr. Prema Danappa, director of Good Shepherd Rural Development & sustainability. Mrs. Roopashri (Yoga teacher) & Mrs. Saraswathi (Advocate) were the chief guests of the celebration. They encouraged all the women to educate the girl children for they believe that if one girl is educated the whole family is educated. Mr. Majunath JDS President of Chamarajnagara district was guest of honor shared his experience with his mother & sister how he loves them & appreciate them. It was great moment when a woman from the women’s groups voluntarily came forward to share her views, desires as aspiration. Mrs. Antoniyamma animator of Good Shepherd Convent spoke from her own experience that we too had desires and aspired that we want to be someone. But then our desires were cut off as were deprived of higher education.
